The EUSR SHEA Core (Safety, Health & Environmental Awareness) course provides a solid foundation of health, safety, and environmental understanding for anyone working in utility or infrastructure environments. Endorsed by the Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR), this qualification is widely recognised across industries such as gas, water, power, telecoms, and waste.
This course equips operatives and supervisors with the knowledge to work safely, responsibly, and in compliance with UK legislation and utility site expectations. It covers topics like risk assessment, incident reporting, environmental responsibilities, manual handling, PPE, and working near utilities.
Successful completion results in registration with EUSR for a period of 3 years, allowing access to sites requiring a SHEA qualification. This course is also a prerequisite for progressing to SHEA schemes in specific industries (e.g., SHEA Gas, SHEA Water, etc.).
